Our first Sunday Serve! Thankfully the rain held off enough so our canvassing and prayer group, our Comstock Park cleanup group, and our Grounds-keeping group could still get some work done. We also had people painting in the kids room, assembling Teacher Appreciation gifts, making food for all our volunteers, and we held a bedding drive for Sleep in Heavenly Peace.

This Saturday the nonprofit Sleep in Heavenly Peace will be building 20 beds for kids in Lansing. Check it out and sign up to volunteer if you are free on Saturday! (Crossroads will be helping them deliver beds to kids at our July Sunday Serve)

We will be helping Sleep in Heavenly Peace - MI, Lansing with their mission to get every kid in Lansing off the floor. 1 Peter 4:10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms

Our first Sunday Serve is THIS Sunday. After our shortened worship service (10:30-11am) we will break into service project groups until 12:30pm. Here are the groups for this Sunday: -Cleanup at Comstock Park -Groundskeeping & playground cleanup at the church -3rd floor painting at the church -Prayer walk & canvassing - Teacher appreciation gift assembly -Cookout Crew Everyone is invited to join us for a cookout lunch in the church parking lot at 12:30pm We are also doing a twin bedding drive with "Sleep in Heavenly Peace" to help kids in Lansing who are currently sleeping on floors. The kids rooms will be available and the PreK-5th grade kids will be working on a special skit; but parents are also welcome to have kids serve alongside them in all areas except for painting. 1 Peter 4:10

COME PLAY ON OUR PLAYGROUND!!! (A fence and benches still to come) Thank you SO MUCH to everyone that helped! This playground is a gift to our neighborhood to use anytime.

Our Youth Community Christmas Party is Dec. 9th! We need 1. Volunteers!, 2. Potluck meals!, 3. Wrapped $10 presents for elementary boys, elementary girls, teen boys, & teen girls, 4. Unwrapped gifts (new or used) for our "store" -these are gifts for adults that the kids get to choose and wrap themselves and give to their parents. Contact Kyle Lake [email protected]

This ministry targets urban youth age 4-18 living near Foster Park, which is located near the intersection of S. Foster Ave. & E. Kalamazoo in Lansing (youth not from this neighborhood are also welcome to come). Foster Park is a weekly ministry consisting of age-based sports, games, crafts; a Bible lesson for kids and a Bible discussion in small groups for teens, pizza and drinks, and prizes. Everything is free. We now also have a parallel park ministry at Ferris Park in downtown Lansing (Walnut & Shiawassee). We do both of these ministries every summer, come join us!
